A Look At The Dueling Waterparks:
There are two waterparks under construction in the Las Vegas Valley (soon to be three-Echelon Place-that looks to be months off).  There's Wet 'N' Wild in the Southwest & Cowabunga Bay in the East side of the Valley in Henderson.  Wet 'N' Wild looks to be much further along, while Cowabunga Bay is now showing signs of progress.  Wet 'N' Wild says they will be open Memorial Day Weekend.  Cowabunga Bay promises to open sometime this Summer.  Let's compare three photos of each..the overall aerial view, the lazy river of each & the wave pools.

The above is an overall view of Cowabunga Bay taken 3/16/13.

Let's look closer at the features of Wet 'N' Wild with a couple pieces great, aerial video:
The above video was taken 3/1/13 and shows the wave pool, the first tower for water slides & other various features.
The above video was taken 3/18/13 and shows the second tower construction & progress on the first tower of water slides.

Below are chronological photos of Wet 'N' Wild Construction starting in December & displaying photos through March.

Below you will find more great aerial shots of construction from around the Las Vegas Valley:
Above is the ferris wheel at Caesar Entertainment's "The Linq" Project.  Titled the "High Roller", the wheel will be the world's largest ferris wheel at 550' high.  This wheel is expected to start spinning in late 2013 or early 2014. This wheel is part of the 11 acre site between Las Vegas Boulevard & Audrie Street to the east & next to The Quad (formerly Imperial Palace), Harrah's & the Flamingo.  When completed, the site will feature the "High Roller" and 30 restaurant, entertainment, & retail spaces.
The aerial pictures above show the towers that will supposedly hold the 500' tall ferris wheel at SkyVue Las Vegas at Las Vegas Boulevard & Mandalay Bay Road.  SkyVue was expected to open in July of 2013. However, it looks like worked has stopped on site and construction equipment is nowhere to be found.
The picture above shows the "Shops At Summerlin" that is expected to re-start construction soon after standing idle since 2008.  Macy's has been announced as an anchor tenant.  The mall is expected to open in 2014.
